Kenwood's CMOS-320LP universal camera helps keep you aware of your surroundings so you can drive more safely. Mount it as a backup camera, shift into reverse, and you can check out the view behind your vehicle — the picture shows up on your receiver's screen automatically. The camera captures a 190-degree horizontal view and 145-degree vertical view, so you'll really get the big picture — good news if you're trying to back up in a large vehicle or if you're towing something. A license plate mounting bracket is included to make installation easier.
The camera gives you four view modes, including overhead, ultra-wide, wide, and corner views. The package includes a dash-mount button that allows you to switch modes, and you can also use the touchscreen on a compatible Kenwood receiver to switch view modes.
The CMOS-320LP also works as a front-view camera. You can connect it to the A/V input on select Kenwood receivers, set it as a front camera in the menu, then switch views between the front and rear cameras. The 25-foot cable and harness assembly is long enough for most vehicles and includes a composite video connector, so it'll work with almost any video receiver. Kenwood includes the mounting bracket, power cord, and mode-switching unit.
What does it do? Unless otherwise noted, a backup camera is only intended for use backing up your vehicle. (If you require a front-view or constant rear-view camera, check for that capability.)
What tools and supplies will I need? A panel tool, a wire cutter/stripper, a soldering iron, and a rosin-core solder with heat shrink tubing are recommended, along with whatever tools are needed to remove the radio from the dash.
How much wiring is required? Wiring instructions vary from camera to camera. Some cameras have power wiring that can only be connected near the radio. Others let you power the camera at compatible reverse lights. In all cases, the camera must be wired for power and ground, the camera's video output must be connected to the radio/monitor, and the radio/monitor must be connected to a reverse trigger in your vehicle. Some radio replacement interfaces supply a reverse trigger wire for the radio -- using that wire to power your camera will damage the interface.
Will the included video cable be long enough? You'll need to route the camera's video cable from its mounting location outside your vehicle into your vehicle's cabin and all the way to the screen in the dash. This often requires drilling a small hole in your vehicle or filing some metal and or plastic. You'll also need to estimate the length of cable needed to run from the camera to the dash, which will not be a straight shot. Each camera's cable length is listed.
Note: A rear-view camera provides an additional view when reversing your vehicle. It is intended to be used in conjunction with your rear- and side-view mirrors to give a fuller picture of what's behind you. It is not intended as a replacement for your mirrors.

Overview: The Kenwood CMOS-320LP camera kit includes a CMOS-320 Multi-View Camera along with a CA-LPM10 license plate mounting bracket and hardware.
Compatibility: The Kenwood CMOS-320 Universal Multi-View Camera can be used as a rear-view camera with many Kenwood in-dash navigation, DVD, and digital multimedia receivers. However, the standard composite video output (RCA plug) extension cable makes it compatible with virtually any in-dash mobile video monitor. The CMOS-320 can also be used as a front camera with the select Kenwood in-dash navigation, DVD, and digital multimedia receivers that are camera-control-ready.
Note: This multi-view camera is meant as a driving aid only; never solely rely on the camera when driving. In addition to using the multi-view camera, always look around you to make sure everything is clear when maneuvering your vehicle.
CMOS Optics: The 1/3.6" color CMOS image sensor has approximately 330,000 pixels to deliver a high quality picture.
Settings: From a Kenwood in-dash receiver that is camera-control-ready, or using the remote-switch with non-camera-control-ready Kenwood head units you can adjust the camera's display mode, view/hide the guidelines display, and adjust the camera to better suit your vehicle.
Notes:
Waterproof Chassis: The Kenwood CMOS-320 camera is built into a compact waterproof aluminum case, making it perfect for mounting outside the vehicle.
Mounting: The included CA-LPM10 license plate bracket lets you mount the CMOS-320 camera to any standard size license plate. The multi-view camera comes with a pre-installed metal mounting bracket that can be attached directly to your vehicle with its self-adhesive backing or included mounting screw. Once the camera is installed in the mounting bracket the camera's angle can be adjusted to work in your application. The dash-mount switch unit comes with two-sided tape to attach the switch unit to your dash, near the driver seat.
