High-Capacity Universal Battery Connector, Positive or Negative

The XB-BTU Battery Connector is ideal for larger systems that require multiple power wire connections at the battery. It is capable of receiving 1/0 AWG, 2 AWG, 4 AWG or 8 AWG wire in each of its three captured-wire connection points (in any combination). OmniSertâ„¢ technology ensures secure, high-integrity wire contact. Multiple bushings are included to dress the wire exits, depending on the size wire used.

The included adaptor collar allows it to be used for negative or positive battery post connections, where the secure clamping design ensures a tight fit to the battery post. Adaptors are sold separately for side-post batteries.

We also include a 'factory harness adaptor', which can be installed in one of the three wire connections to accept power rings and most factory harness battery terminations.

Detailed Information:
Conventional captured wire block designs use a narrow screw that only contacts the center of the inserted wire. When tightened, the screw digs a depression into the wire and only applies full pressure in a relatively small contact patch. Additionally, when smaller wires are inserted into the block, the screw does a poor job of gripping the smaller wire, increasing the possibility of an unreliable connection.

JL Audio's patent-pending OmniSertâ„¢ technology uses a large diameter screw with a domed contact area that precisely matches the contour of the wire bore. This oversized domed surface evenly applies pressure to the wire over a larger contact area in the body of the block. The design also does an excellent job of capturing smaller wires in the block, eliminating the need for ferrules or sleeves to achieve proper mechanical integrity.
