If you spend a lot of time driving, but listening to music makes every trip worthwhile, Morel designs their speakers for you. Their Universal Series components generate the incredibly natural sound that Morel has become known for, but with an accent on easier installation in more vehicles.
The system
Morel IP-UNI82 component system features a shallow-mount 8" woofer that's only 1.9" deep yet handles up to 100 watts RMS. The woofer's cast-aluminum basket provides a stable, non-resonant platform for superior low-frequency punch. The system's 1" soft dome tweeter spells out all the intricate details in your music, while its in-line crossover makes installation so much easier.
Versatility
If you're planning on using these components with a factory radio, they'll work great with low to moderate power. Add an amplifier, and you'll hear even better performance with richer bass and exceptional clarity. If you have an 8" speaker opening in your vehicle or if you are willing to modify a smaller opening, Morel's IP-UNI82 components will put your vehicle's sound system in another league.
Grilles are not included; the factory grilles should be suitable for most applications.

Features
Tweeter Mounting Options: The tweeter can be surface or flush mounted using the included adapters. The surface mount housing angles the tweeters at approximately 20° (above horizontal).

Crossovers: Each channel uses separate in-line crossovers for the woofer and tweeter, making them easy to install when the drivers are in different locations. The 8" input wires and 70" output wires are attached to each crossover. Each 6 dB/octave crossover has quick-slide terminals on the outputs that easily connect to the respective drivers. The crossover points are 2.7 kHz high-pass and 5 kHz low-pass.
