Features
Crossover: The K2 Power M series components are designed to be actively crossed over, and no crossovers are included. Focal recommends a 24 dB/oct Linkwitz-Riley crossover with the following settings when used in these applications:
- 2-Way: 1.5-3 kHz high-pass and 30 kHz low-pass
- 3-Way: 4 kHz high-pass and 30 kHz low-pass
- Surround: 600 Hz high-pass and 30 kHz low-pass
- Maximum Power Handling: minimum high-pass frequency 2.5 kHz
Mounting: The FRAK tweeters mount like typical top mount speakers, but with no screws. The tweeter drops into a 2" diameter hole and the mounting surface material is sandwiched between the tweeter flange and the mounting ring, which is pressure fit around the tweeter frame from the back.
Enclosure: Focal recommends a small sealed enclosure if the high-pass crossover point is lower than 2 kHz. (The enclosure only needs to be big enough to house the tweeter.)
