Features
Mounting: The IS BMW 100L is a direct replacement for the factory speakers in select BMW models. Please enter your vehicle information to confirm fit.
Polyglass Cone: The woofer cone has a cellulose pulp base and is coated with a uniform deposit of hollow glass microballs. The addition of the Polyglass layer significantly increases the cone's rigidity without adding much weight. This combination takes advantage of the accuracy and neutrality of the hard outer surface, but maintains the superior damping characteristics of the cellulose pulp.
Surround: The woofer's butyl rubber surround is resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity, adding to its reliability and longevity.
Inverted Dome Tweeter: The tweeter has an inverted aluminum and magnesium dome, producing a broad sound stage.
Wiring: Each woofer has two identical wiring inputs. The two are shorted together and the factory harness plugs into one. The input wire on the included crossover plugs into the other, to supply signal to the tweeter. In some applications the included 14" extension wire is also needed.
Crossovers: The tweeter crossover is in-line, with 10" input and 10" output wires attached. The input wire has a factory style plug that connects the Focal woofer. The output wire has quick slide terminals that connect to the wire attached to the Focal tweeter. Along with the negative lead, the output wire has two positive leads, offering the ability to change the output level of the tweeter; choose 0 dB (flat) or -3 dB. The slope is 6 dB/octave and the crossover point is 4 kHz.
